Imagine being on your paws all day, always alert and out hunting for adventure. It's only fair that your cat has a cosy retreat where it can feel safe and secure. A cat cave gives it a private hideaway to relax, sleep and dream its secret cat dreams.

Cats love cosy spots, so a cat cave should offer enough room for your cat to stretch out and turn around. Our cat caves come in different sizes – from snug caves for small cats to roomy XXL caves for bigger ones.

There are a few important things to keep in mind when buying a cat cave. Make sure it is made from high-quality materials that are both durable and safe for your cat. The cave should be well made and have soft padding so your cat feels really comfortable. At LucyBalu we care a lot about quality and durability, so your cat gets the very best.

Cats are known for their love of warm, soft materials – and felt is no exception. Our felt cat caves give your cat the perfect cuddle factor. The material keeps it warm in winter and pleasantly cool in summer. Felt is also hard-wearing and easy to care for, so you and your cat will enjoy it for a long time. Here you'll find modern, stylish felt cat caves.

Put it where your cat already scratches: next to the sofa, in the hallway or close to where it sleeps. Scratching is also marking territory, so a spot in the middle of things works better than a quiet corner. Tempt your cat with a game around the post; with SCRATCHPOLE, the knot ball helps. And give it a few days.

Buying a cat tree: what to look for in height, stability and material

Buying a cat tree: what to look for in height, stability and material

Height: your cat should be able to stretch out completely while scratching. A post of around 70 cm or more works for most cats. Stability: if a cat tree wobbles, your cat will avoid it. Look for a high dead weight or a wide base plate your cat stands on while scratching. Material: sisal stands up to strong claws for a long time. On PLATEAU, GALLERY and SCRATCHPOLE it's wrapped around a solid beech post, and all three are made in Germany.

Every scratching post wears out eventually. With PLATEAU and GALLERY you simply swap in a replacement post or a replacement pad; with SCRATCHPOLE, the scratching post. Everything else stays. You'll find all parts under spare parts. Short on floor space? Then a cat climbing wall is the alternative to a cat tree. More ideas for scratching are in our scratching furniture range.
