Cat Scratching Furniture

Scratching is part of life. Good-looking scratching furniture should be too.

For cats, scratching is claw care and territory marking in one. Our scratching furniture in sisal, corrugated cardboard and paper rope gives it a proper place: as a cat tree, a scratching post, a wall-mounted scratching board or a cat bed made for scratching.

Cat tree, scratching post or scratching board: sisal scratching furniture

Cat tree, scratching post or scratching board: sisal scratching furniture

Our cat trees take centre stage. The PLATEAU cat tree stands 82 cm tall and combines a sisal post with a wool felt lounging platform, while the SCRATCHPOLE scratching post offers 70 cm of sisal on a flat metal base. Short on floor space? The CATWALK scratching post mounts on the wall, and the SCRATCHPAD scratching board gives you 30 x 60 cm of sisal held in place by magnets. Freestanding and wrapped in paper rope, there's the 77 cm PAPERPOLE scratching post. You'll find all models under cat trees.

Watch how your cat scratches. If it stretches upwards, a cat tree like PLATEAU or a scratching post like SCRATCHPOLE is a good fit. If it prefers scratching horizontally, on the rug for example, scratching boards and cardboard furniture like the SCRATCHBED are the better choice. Many cats happily use both.

Sisal is tough and stands up to strong claws for a long time, which is why we use it on our cat trees and scratching posts. Corrugated cardboard gives a little while scratching, and many cats love that. With WALLPAPER, you simply flip the cardboard insert once one side is worn.

Wall-mounted pieces: SCRATCHPAD and WALLPAPER need no floor space, and CATWALK makes use of height. If you prefer freestanding, SCRATCHPOLE only needs room for a base plate 45 cm across.

Where your cat already scratches: next to the sofa, in the hallway or close to where it sleeps. Scratching is also marking territory, so a spot in the middle of things works better than a quiet corner. Several scratching spots around your home often help more than a single one.

On many models, yes. The sisal surface of SCRATCHPAD is replaceable, SCRATCHPAPER is the refill for WALLPAPER, and on SCRATCHPOLE you can swap the scratching post. So you only replace what's worn.

Cardboard scratching furniture and wall-mounted scratchers

Cardboard scratching furniture and wall-mounted scratchers

Many cats love scratching corrugated cardboard. The WALLPAPER scratching board sits in a steel wall bracket; the cardboard insert can be flipped and reordered as SCRATCHPAPER, which also works lying flat on the floor. For scratching and dozing there's the SCRATCHBED, the PAPERCAVE and the modular PLAYGROUND scratching world. PLAYBOOK looks like a coffee table book and hides a scratching surface and a ball with a bell inside.
