It's important for cats to mark their territory while grooming their claws. This instinct has been passed down to our house cats too. That's why cats need to scratch. And so your own sofa doesn't have to suffer for it, you should offer your beloved cat an alternative. Our PLATEAU scratching and lounging tower isn't just an excellent scratching post, it's also an ideal resting place. The lounging surface is fitted with a 5 mm thick wool felt pad. The so-called highback gives your cat a spot to snuggle up against – a real bonus, especially for more reserved cats. The stability of the post leaves nothing to be desired, and the visually delicate metal base withstands even the most boisterous attacks from your house tiger. Anyone who's ever had a young cat will really appreciate that.

High-quality sisal post with almost unlimited durability

Cat claws are impressive tools that don't spare much. That's why we decided to take a completely new approach to covering the post. This new technique means cats hardly find a starting point to tear off the high-quality sisal. But even the sturdiest part may need replacing eventually. That's why the post is easy to swap out. The lounging surface and the base remain untouched.

• Pad: wool felt – 70% virgin wool from New Zealand, where mulesing has been banned by law since 2018, and 30% polyester. The polyester content makes the felt more dimensionally stable and durable. (Wool is a natural product; slight colour variations and small inclusions are normal)
• Scratching post: 100% natural sisal on solid beech trunk; natural latex backing (Sisal is a natural product; slight colour variations are normal)
• All colours are free from harmful substances.

Assembly:

• Assembly required – PLATEAU is delivered partially assembled.
• You will need a Phillips screwdriver and Allen keys size 4 and 5 (SW4 and SW5).

Durability:

• The powder coating protects the surface from stains and dirt.
• Our products are designed to last a cat's lifetime. Cats are creatures of habit and don't like it when "their" furniture is changed or replaced often.
