Felt cat cave, hand-felted in Nepal
PEBBLE is a cat cave made of 100% wool felt. It's hand-felted in Nepal, holds its shape on its own and is soft enough inside that your cat will happily curl up in it. With a diameter of 45 cm (18 in) and a 20 cm (8 in) opening, it fits most cats, and in your living room it looks like a big pebble.

Why cats love caves
Cats spend a large part of the day sleeping and dozing. For that, they look for spots where they're sheltered but can still keep track of what's going on in the room. In a cave, their back and sides are covered and they can keep an eye on the entrance.
Many cats use PEBBLE for more than sleeping. They hide in it, lie in wait for a toy or stretch out on top of the dome. The felt is firm enough that the cave keeps its shape through all of it.
What makes a felt cat cave different
Felt is made by compacting wool with water and a lot of friction until the fibers interlock tightly. With PEBBLE, this is done by hand. That's how loose wool becomes a sturdy cave.
What size cat cave does my cat need?
PEBBLE has room for most cats up to about 6 to 7 kg (13 to 15 lb), including British Shorthairs and Norwegian Forest Cats. Your cat should be able to curl up inside and walk through the opening without squeezing. For a fully grown Maine Coon of 8 kg (18 lb) or more, it gets tight. An open cat bed is usually a better fit for them.

Will my cat use the cave?
Most cats get curious quickly. Some move in the first evening, others need a few days. Here's how to make it easier:
- Put the cave in a quiet spot where your cat likes to lie anyway.
- Place a blanket or T-shirt inside that smells like you.
- Roll a toy or a treat into the opening.
For the first few days, the cave still smells noticeably of wool, because it comes from Nepal by ship in airtight packaging. Many cats find exactly that exciting.

PEBBLE comes in gray, gray-white, light gray, white, black, mustard, lilac and pink. Wool is a natural material, so color and heathering may differ slightly from the photo.
How to care for your felt cat cave
Shake out the cave now and then, or vacuum off hair with the upholstery attachment. Dab stains with a damp sponge and let the felt air-dry afterward, not on a radiator. PEBBLE doesn't go in the washing machine, because wool felt doesn't handle heavy rubbing and heat well.
Right after unpacking, the cave sometimes looks a bit squashed. Press it back into shape by hand. Once your cat starts using it, the felt firms up with warmth and movement.
