Why are the bowls made of melamine?

We deliberately chose high-quality melamine because it's especially robust, easy to care for, and long-lasting. Melamine is impact- and scratch-resistant – making it perfect for everyday use as a cat feeding bowl. A small number of cats are sensitive to melamine. In that case – or if you'd simply like to change the look – you can easily swap the bowls for our BOWL porcelain bowls.

Can two cats eat from the DINE feeding station at the same time?

In principle, yes – the DINE feeding station is big enough for two cats. Whether that works in practice naturally depends on your cats' eating habits. Tip: We recommend offering food and water separately. Our DELI water station or our TREVI drinking fountain are perfect for this. You can find out why in the LucyBalu Magazine.

Are the bowls dishwasher- and microwave-safe?

Our melamine bowls are dishwasher-safe, so they stay hygienically clean and are easy to care for. However, you shouldn't put them in the microwave, as the material can warp. If you'd like to warm up the food, it's best to put it in a microwave-safe container first.

Can I buy the feeding station directly with porcelain bowls?

Unfortunately, that's not possible for logistical reasons. We recommend choosing the DINE with melamine bowls and ordering a set of porcelain bowls alongside it. That way, you'll have 2 spare bowls right away.

Can I order replacement bowls?

Yes, of course! In the spirit of sustainability, our products are designed so that wear parts can be easily replaced. You can reorder the feeding bowls as a spare part in a set of 2 directly from our "Spare Parts" category. That way, your feeding station stays looking great for a long time — and your cat stays happy.

Highlights

Healthy and cat-friendly. The feeding station is raised, so your cat can eat comfortably without straining its back.
Stress-free eating. Made of metal, the feeding station stands firm and won't tip over. This lets even stressed cats eat more calmly.
Cleanliness for everyone. A protective rim keeps food from landing on the floor or wall. Thanks to the sturdy construction, water can't spill either.
High-quality product. The feeding station is made in Germany from uncompromisingly good materials. This design feeding station is an original LucyBalu product.
Interchangeable bowls, available individually. The feeding bowls, made of high-quality melamine or porcelain, can be replaced and reordered individually at any time.

Description

A Particularly Cat-Friendly Design

The slightly elevated DINE bowl stand from LucyBalu makes it easier for your cat to access food and water. Your cat's health will thank you when you serve its food in an ergonomic feeding position.
Stress-free eating is enormously important for cats. It helps, for example, when the feeding bowl doesn't slide around or tip over while your cat is eating. That's why, during construction, we made sure that the DINE — despite its delicate look — has a good amount of weight to it, thanks to its 2mm-thick sheet steel. This makes it very stable and tip-resistant. The DINE makes eating cozier for your cat as a result.

Extra Hygienic and Easy to Care For

The protective rim, angled upward at the back, keeps walls and floors safe from any food residue. The powder-coated sheet steel of the DINE is easy to keep clean — a damp cloth is all it takes to make the feeding bar shine like new. The matching feeding bowls are made from high-quality melamine, and are dishwasher-safe and food-safe. If they ever break or won't come clean anymore, they can be replaced at any time. The bowls are available separately from us as a spare part.
